      The Greenbridge Story

Our Roots Are in Strapping, But My How We’ve Grown

Greenbridge is committed to the safety of our team, the quality of our products and services, investing in continuous improvement, advancing the circular economy, and fostering sustainable customer success.

Greenbridge was originally founded in 1974 as Polychem and soon gained the reputation for having the broadest line of polyester, polypropylene and cord strapping in the industry. Complementary tools, equipment, and accessories were added to our product line. As we grew, so did our commitment to sustainable products and practices. In 1998, Polychem established Evergreen as its recycling division and also to produce rPET. This assured a steady supply of 100% recycled PET resin for our growing portfolio of strapping and cord and created new markets for recycled rPET and other recycled material. Strategic acquisitions in in the United States and Mexico sparked rapid growth and expanded our product portfolio to include cornerboard, strap accessories, power tools, equipment, and complete systems and services required for end-of-line packaging and supply chain solutions.

Additional strategic acquisitions added to our benchstrength. In 2003, we acquired  a majority interest in OMS Americas, the second largest manufacturer of strapping systems in the world. In 2019, Dynaric was acquired, giving us new capabilities for printing on strap as well as additional production volume. In 2020, Maillas, known for their jumbo coil capabilities, was acquired. These additions sparked growth and expanded our product portfolio to include cornerboard, strap accessories, power tools, equipment, and complete systems and services required for end-of-line packaging and supply chain solutions.

In 2021, Polychem rebranded as Greenbridge to reflect our commitment to providing proactive sustainability solutions to customers across North America seeking to adopt the principles of the circular economy, achieve measurable impact on Environmental, Social and Governance goals, and in so doing, enhance overall business performance. Given our experience in recycling and reuse, expertise in advanced manufacturing, focus on customer support and training, and ongoing investment in our people, plants and processes, Greenbridge is a natural evolution of who we are and where we can make the greatest impact.
