We’d like to share a few helpful tips regarding the 18V 5Ah lithium-ion batteries used in our strapping tools.
Battery Care Best Practice
For optimal battery performance, we recommend removing the battery from your strapping tool at the end of each shift or whenever the tool will not be used for several hours.
Did You Know? Your Battery Has a Standby Feature!
Our newer-generation batteries include an intelligent standby feature designed to help preserve battery life.
If a battery remains connected to a tool for an extended period without use, it may automatically enter standby mode to minimize unnecessary power consumption.
If your tool does not respond after sitting unused, simply:
- Remove the battery from the tool.
- Reinstall the battery.
- Resume normal operation.
This simple process reactivates the battery and allows the tool to operate normally.
The standby feature is a normal part of the battery’s design and helps reduce unnecessary discharge, preserve battery capacity, and maintain reliable performance.
